A 1227 Herbert Terry Anglepoise lamp, a classic British design created by George Carwardine in the 1930s. The 1227 model is one of the earliest and most iconic versions. It’s known for its adjustable arms and springs, allowing users to position the light in various ways. A timeless piece in the history of industrial design.

Condition: In fair original condition , the original finish shows signs of age through scuffs, dings, and fading in areas ,rusting and pitting to the original black paint on the steel base. The inside of the shade painted with a later white finish there are no cracks or chips on the shade original Crabtree bulb holder in working order.

At some point in its life the lamp has been rewired with new black silk flex . The lamp has passed a new UK PAT test .
