An early 1900's oak Arts and Crafts dresser first made by Heal And Son in 1914, production number 674 and described as 5 ft. wide unpolished oak some had curtains on the plate rack It is fitted with two drawers with two panelled cupboard doors below on either side of a stepped panel and plate racks above. The cornice is nicely decorated and there are original cup hooks along the edges of the plate racks.
The piece is in very good original unrestored condition with no signs of repairs just the wear marks of normal use.
It was featured at the 1916 Arts & Crafts exhibition,and again at the Wembley exhibition in 1924 and remained in production until 1935 by which time 139 had been sold.
Size - 153cm wide x 169cm high x 53cm depth.
