A large early 18th century silvered repoussé wall sconce, having a heavily embellished and polished back plate to reflect light when the candle is lit. The sconce has unfortunately been replaced in the 19th century as many removal components get lost over time.
The repoussé has ome marks and minor losses commensurate with age but overall is in excellent condition and very decorative.
