An 18thC century miniature tallboy. Constructed in oak with mahogany banding and boxwood stringing, this chest on chest retains is original feet, brass knobs and a good colour and waxed patina. Often described as apprentice pieces to demonstrate a young craftsman's skill, such miniatures may well have also been used as samples or for display. 740mm high, 440mm wide and 290mm deep. English. Circa 1780.
