Amazing 19thC Box Settle in Original Paint
A beautiful and rare early 19thC box settle of small(ish) proportions in original paint finish. Featuring a clever single arm design which allows the sitters to access the settle easily when used in conjunction with a dining table. This means the settle can be positioned close to the table creating the perfect seating position.
In exceptional condition, original throughout and very strong with no movement. Retaining a great deal of its original red/brown painted finish, gently worn away on the seat and leading surfaces creating the most wonderful looking and most tactile surface.
A truly beautiful settle in every way, decorative, tactile and practical.
Height 41" = 104cm Length 4ft 5" = 135cm Seat Height 18" = 46cm Depth 20.5" = 52cm
