An exquisite quality Edwardian, mahogany and inlaid writing table probably by Edwards and Roberts. In fact we had another writing table, the exact same dimensions but with a straight front and that was stamped Edwards and Roberts. The drawer fronts are inlaid with floral inlay and satinwood cross banding. The rest of the desk has boxwood line inlay and to the top there is a hand stained and tooled green hide. The drawers are fitted with fine drop handles and Hobbs and Co Locks which again is another sign of quality. The desk stands on square tapered legs terminating in brass plate castors and ferrules. Circa 1900
