A fine Regency rosewood and amboina banded sofa table in the manner of John Mclean. Of good proportions, being only 23" deep, this table is raised on end supports with sabre legs and twin columns united by a turned stretcher. The top has two frieze drawers to one side and dummies to the reverse each bordered by fine reeded panels. The top is of beautifully selected and matched rosewood and the whole is inlaid with very fine boxwood and ebony stringing. The table is in excellent condition and has its original handles, castors and locks and retains a fine colour. 710mm high, 930mm wide (1510mm with the flaps up) and 590mm deep. English. Circa 1815.
