Exquisitely carved with hare bells, foliate designs and scroll feet, the height of the stool is adjustable by means of a steel thread, to raise or lower the seat simply revolve the seat either clockwise or anti clockwise. In very good and original condition, patina and upholstered in buttoned suede. 355mm square and 535mm high (lowest) Circa 1850 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
