A 19th century Victorian brass student oil lamp converted to electricity.

The lamp has a cast iron weighted base with a baluster shape at the bottom of the lamp support.

The lamp and what would have been the oil reservoir can be adjusted in height using a decorative screw.

The lamp has its original opaque glass shade that rests in a brass ring and the top of the lamp support is fitted with a ring carrying handle.

The brass has been professionally polished and an electric lamp replaces the wick.

The lamp is in good condition and has been recently re-wired and tested. (Circa 1860)
