A handsome and generously proportioned 19th-century stool, later extended in the early 20th century to create a practical coffee-table height. The original mahogany frame is raised on four well-carved legs, each with pronounced lotus-leaf decoration above turned feet.

The top is upholstered in beautifully patinated deep-buttoned leather, showing the desirable cracking and mellow surface consistent with age and use. Brass stud edging adds a smart finishing detail, enhancing the country-house aesthetic.

Substantial, comfortable, and highly versatile—ideal as a coffee table, ottoman, or large centre stool.

A very good decorative piece with excellent presence and authentic period character.
