Fantastic French dressing table with marble top from the fabulous Victorian era. It has a beautifully shaped mirror with carved floral mouldings at the top and bottom is supported by carved uprights with butterfly head screws holding the mirror at the desired angle. The original mercury plate mirror has some foxing giving it a wonderful time worn look. Its lovely Carrara marble top is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and sits on an arrangement of two short drawer over three long drawers all with superb flame mahogany veneers. All the drawers have oak sides, pine base and back are of hand cut dove tail construction. Two recessed turned knob handles open the top two drawers with the original working key acting as the handle of the three long drawers. Like all antiques there are some imperfections, as to be expected with a functional piece of antique furniture. This is a wonderful item which is both useful and stunning to look at.
