Edwardian Mahogany Double Bed & Spring Base
An excellent quality Edwardian double bed.
c1900.
This very elegant bed is made of Mahogany, having inlaid Rosewood cross-banding to the top-rails, and Box-wood stringing to the posts.
To the centre of the head and footboard, are figured mahogany panels, inlaid with elegant Neo-Classical/Adam style designs.
With capped posts, standing on the original castors.
The bed comes complete with the original adjustable spring base.
Fits a UK standard double 4ft 6" mattress.
Very easy to assemble.
Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard, two iron side-rails, and the spring base.
The bed will be dismantled ready for collection, we are happy to assist with loading if required.
The overall condition is very good, with very minor signs of age and use, commensurate with age.
The dimensions are.
Height-Headboard-147cm. Height-Footboard-114.5cm.
