A very pleasing original gold or silver chest presented in good antique condition
Provenance to A.B. Savory & Sons of London - as per original Goldsmiths brass plate
Dated c1850 (Savory & Sons traded from the years 1833 to 1866)
Compact in size and offering practicality with classic antique charm
Of interest displaying ironbound exterior detail
In solid oak with a desirable aged tone
Original iron lift handles
Lid lifts, and is restrained with the original hinged strap, to reveal a later painted interior
The lock is untested as correct key is absent
Of quality craftsmanship with attractive proportions
Solidly jointed and robust
