3 Piece Pewter Coffee Set, Liberty & Co, c.1910s

Here we have a very stylish George V Pewter 3 Piece Coffee Set. The set has a planished finish with cutaway rims on the sugar bowl and cream jug. The coffee pot has a cane wrapped handle and a cabochon thumb rest. All three pieces stand on unusual ski feet.
The pieces were designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co around 1904/5 and bear the pattern no 0231. Earlier versions had a celtic motif around the bodies with these planished versions being produced from around 1910.
Overall condition is good, with just a few small dings. The main issue is that the cane wrapping around the handle has largely disintegrated leaving just the paper underlay with a few pieces of cane still in situ. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The coffee pot has a cpacity of 1.75 pints / 994ml. It is 13.5cm / 5.3ins from lip to handle, 8cm / 3.1ins in diameter and 22cm / 8.6ins high. The cream jug is 15.5cm / 6.1ins from lip to handle, 10.8cm / 4.2ins across and 6.8cm / 2.7ins high. The sugar bowl is 13.3cm / 5.2ins from front to handle, 10.8cm / 4.2ins across and 6.8cm / 2.7ins high. All together the set weighs 1.16kg / 41oz.
The underside of each piece is stamped ENGLISH PEWTER and MADE BY LIBERTY & CO together with the product number 0231.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
