2 Victorian Mahogany Shop Display Cabinets c1880

DESCRIPTION:
Here we have 2 superb solid mahogany Victorian shop display cabinets of outstanding beauty and quality manufactured by Pollards of London hence the quality. Both the cabinets date from approx. 1880/90 making them late Victorian. Each cabinet has two glass doors within a mahogany frame and has two glass shelves inside with a green baize fabric to the back. There is a key to fit both cabinets that does lock the cabinets. Cabinet 0222 has both its locks and both working cabinet 0221 only has one lock other having been removed at some time. There are some differences between the cabinets one being the handles 0221 the handles are quite decorative and are chrome on brass, cabinets 0222 handles are less decorative and are brass only, the very top is different to has 0221 has a twisted style top to the front edge while 0222 only has a solid curved top front edge.
These are both gorgeous cabinets that would suit many interiors both residential and commercial. As you will see we have dressed them with jewellery which they really suit and would encourage sales but they would look equally as good in a foyer showing cups and trophy’s or in a domestic setting displaying collections or other treasured items.
PLEASE NOTE: We are selling these cabinets as a pair or as individuals depending on whether it is one or both you are interested in, the price given will be for one cabinet with the chance to buy the other at the same price. As regards there only being one key we would try and get another cut for the second cabinet should they not be sold as a pair.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
Code 0122 – one lock missing
Code 0222 – Slight chip to the back of one glass shelf at the back and underside.
They are both in super condition cosmetically with only the very minimal of bumps here and there the only work carried out on them is a good clean and polish.
There is strip lighting within a cover in both cabinets this would need to be either removed or tested and all necessary work carried out by a qualified body and certificated to say they meet regulations if you would like to have them working.
