Large mid 19th.c. sofa by the celebrated English makers Howard & Sons of London c.1860. A generous two seater with padded and sprung backrest over a sprung seat with loose feather cushions. Upholstered in a modern copy of the original Howard & Sons fabric, featuring the company’s initials in the pattern. Mahogany back legs stamped with serial numbers and retaining the original brass castors also stamped Howard & Sons London. Very good condition with a small repair to the covers at the rear.
