Beautiful early 19th.c. oak open dresser base from the Welsh English border region c.1820. Two plank top of particularly good colour and grain. Over three large drawers and three smaller ‘knife’ drawers with bone diamond escutcheons and the original turned hardwood knobs. Unusual pointed arch cutaways to the apron with elm inlaid surround and applied thumb moulding (yew wood in parts). Raised on turned legs to the front and rear. Excellent colour and condition. Some repairs to the back corners, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
