Very decorative 19th century Italian pear wood with marquetry Gueridon centre table on a very unusual pedestal base, circa 1860.
The top is marquetry inlaid with Romanesque figures and mythical beasts, the pedestal column being set into these carved laurel style feet, raised on turned buns.
Wonderful table and as you can see, it has this lovely faded colour and finish, some age related marks and veneer nibbles which I have left as it all works well in this rustic style.
Measuring:
29 1/2 inches or 75 cm high
30 inches or 76 cm diameter Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
