Mid 19th century French heavy cavalry Troopers sword. Has a heavy, triple bar brass hilt and a brass wire bound leather grip. Brass hilt is numbered 1726. Large double fullered straight blade. Engraved on the spine with the place of manufacture and the date of 1854. This sword is in sound condition but has no scabbard.

Approximately 111cm overall and blade 94cm.
