This is a most elegant, top quality antique French bookcase cabinet in the Directoire style dating from around 1870.The classically styled cabinet is in top quality solid mahogany with shaped deep bevelled glazing to the doors and gilt bronze mounts throughout. There are six solid shelves, all fully adjustable, and a working lock and key. The cabinet is raised on turned tulip feet with gilt bronze toe caps. This is an exceptionally smart and very useful piece, measuring 225 cms high by 138 cms wide and 49 cms deep.
