19th Century Carved Oak Coffer
-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
An unusual 19th century solid oak coffer.
Profusely carved in relief, having very charming and unusual designs. Particularly to the lid, which has what appears to be snowflake carved motifs to the centres of the raised lozenge panels.
The three panelled carved top lifts up to reveal a large storage area.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition. With expected general signs of age and use.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Good rich colour and patina.
