19th C. French 3 Branch Girandole Wall Sconce

We are offering for sale this French 19th Century Brass 3 branch Girandole or Wall Sconce. It bears what appears to be a royal crest or coat of arms at the top including three fleur de lys and the central shield also has three fleur de lys. There are the heads of two putti or angels above the shield and the back plate has a mask terminal. The candle sconces are decorated with leaves and flowers.

The back of the girandole is marked with the makers marks which is J J.

The girandole is not presently wired for electricity, but appears to have been drilled to take wires. It could simply be used for candles or wired, should the buyer choose.

Width of backplate 7 1/2" - 19cm

Width of sconces 9 1/2" - 24.1cm

Maximum Depth 6 1/4" - 16.5cm
