19C Victorian flame mahogany chest of drawers
Antique large 19C Victorian flame mahogany chest of drawers.
This is a beautiful item, with a lovely age and desirable light mahogany colour.
Solid, heavy with no loose joints and the drawers slide freely.
Lovely proportions and styling, with a great look and full of charm.
Impressive pilasters to either side and a blind frieze drawer.
1260mmW x 555mmD x 1125mmH.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and desirable for this type of item. Replacement period handles (possibly rosewood with mother of pearl inlay) and there may have been small bun feet originally. No keys and the locks are consequently untested. There are some historic woodworm holes (believed extinct) that have been treated for good measure.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able-bodied persons for our driver to assist with carrying.
