19 century Chinese DOA sword. A sword much used in the boxer rebellion of 1900 probably best remembered for the siege of the European embassies in peaking lasting 55 days. Heavy curved single edged blade with a fuller running almost its entire length iron pommel the grip woven with rope the guard steel with a heavy pad of leather below it . quite a well balanced weapon and in very good condition solid and uncleaned
