We are offering for sale this novelty Italian Pottery Table Lamp and Shade from the 1960s, which is marked Italy on the base of the tail, as shown.

The lamp is made of highly glazed pottery in the shape of a seated French Cut Standard Poodle with mid brown coat. The lamp has been rewired with gold coloured braided fabric covered flex and has new lampholder and 3 amp plug. As with all electrical items, it is recommended that it be checked by a qualified electrician before use.

The new shade is in an off-white linen fabric and is lined in metallic gold.

Height to top of shade: 26 inches - 66.5cm

Height of dog: 16 3/4 inches - 42.5cm

Width of dog: 12 1/4 inches -- 31cm

Diameter of shade: 18 inches - 45.7cm

Condition: Very good. There is no apparent damage and the shade is new.
