A pretty vintage Mascot musical powder bowl, which plays very well indeed. The lid is decorated with a clear Lucite dome which houses enchanting Lucite flowers and foliage, all set atop golden tin foil. The whole item is in excellent condition. The catch and hinge work perfectly. The mirror gives a clear and accurate reflection. The mirror bezel is marked 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN'. The original large silk topped puff and leaflet are in place. The bowl and puff are powder free, as this vanity has not been used to store powder. Measures 3 1/2" and weighs 282 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
