A lovely 1950s Mascot brand handbag shaped compact mirror. The whole compact is fashioned from gilded lacquered brass which will retain its pleasing appearance without ever needing to be cleaned. The front and back are decorated with engine turned designs. The ornate handle is also a clasp. The interior case contains a mirror which gives a good and accurate reflection. The inner lid is signed Mascot ASB. A sifter and pouch are present. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. Measures 7.5 cm x 6.5 cm. Weighs 76.7 grams.

This compact is ideal for use as a handbag mirror with loose foundation or cherished collectible.
