Such a beautiful mid-century Stratton powder compact!

The lid is fitted with the original pictorial inlay which depicts R.M.S. Queen Elizabeth.

This lid decoration has the appearance of an oil painting.

There isn't any loss of design.

The catch and hinge work perfectly.

The original clear protective cover, sifter and black felt pouch are present.

This model of Stratton compact (with different lid adornments) has only three known years of availability - 1948, 1952 and 1953.

No powder residue.

The interior case contains a mirror which gives a clear and accurate reflection.

The mirror frame is signed STRATTON.

The inner lid is also signed Stratton.

Measures 9 cm diameter. Weighs 114.6 grams.

This Stratton Muffin compact is suitable as a handbag mirror and also for use with all loose foundation.
