An adorable vintage Gwenda powder compact which shows two gold tone cherubs holding flowers aloft in fine detail. Just delightful - both the back & front cases are formed in the shape of flowers. The front is highly ornate with smooth gold tone bands that echo the flower shape one of these bands has tiny flowers decorating it - very pretty. The back contains an Art Deco pattern of wavy lines that echo the flower shape & radiate out from the central circle. The compact is in excellent working condition. The mirror gives a good clear reflection it has a few age spots. The mirror bezel is signed " Gwenda." The rim above the powder well is marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND.' The compact measures 3 1/4 ".

So delightful to find a vintage dressing table jar that matches this compact perfectly. The powder jar is also in excellent condition. The brass lid shows exactly the same design as the powder compact & both have the most glorious deep golden patina. The lid screws off to reveal an ample jar which could hold face cream/powder or trinkets. These jars are hard to find. This dressing table jar measures 3 1/2" wide X almost 2" tall.
