We are offering for sale this very iconic 1950s Adjustable Desk Lamp by the German company Helo Leuchten. The shade and base are disk shaped and both the brass arm and the shade are adjustable. The base and shade are both black enamel, edged in a stepped brass rim. The original baize on the bottom of the lamp bears the name of the manufacturers Helo in four places.

The lamp has been rewired in black silk wire to match and the switch on the base is operational. The lamp is in full working order, but with all electrical items it is recommended that it be checked by a certified electrician prior to use. The lamp takes an ES bulb and is currently fitted and will be supplied with an ES low energy bulb.

Materials Brass and Enamel

Condition Very good condition for its age. At some stage in the past, the lamp has been re-enamelled showing some slight runs within the paint in two areas. The brass is lacquered. The white enamel interior of the shade does show some wear but is not seen when in use.
