1920s British Antique Oak Swivel Desk Office Chair
Of good proportions with a decent looking stance and ready for work. This one has enjoyed an afternoon at our upholsterers with a full refurb on the seat and back in a beautifully thick textured wool weave by Bute Fabric, Melrose CF729, so not only looking great but also comfortable.
The chair survives from the late 1290s and was a Staffordshire find along with another one from the 1930s.
Workshop report – The oak has been carefully cleaned and waxed to ensure its clean but not lost its history – we do have day to day marks. We have cleaned and lubricated the swivel mechanism and this is working fine as is the height adjustment. The castors are running well- however do not expect the year 2000 style spinning speeds on these! The well sized oak base is age marked but fine and has been polished and waxed. The seat and back as mentioned earlier are new and fresh.

When purchasing from us we include delivery within mainland UK, excluding Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isles, in the purchase price and liaise with you to ensure delivery is as swift and as smooth as possible. Items are delivered by private courier, usually this is a one man service. If you require a two person delivery, please let us know. Smaller items are wrapped and packed (into recycled boxes where possible) and sent via a national courier service, tracking details will be provided once an item has been collected from us.

Terms and conditions
If you are not happy with an item you have 14 days to return it. This is providing that the item is returned, in the condition it left us, within 14 days. Please note that items must be wrapped and insured, with the return cost being covered by you. Once the item is back with us, having had a once over in the workshop, your refund will be issued.
On the rare occasion that an item is damaged in transit, please notify us immediately or within 48 hours and provide us with details and images so we can best remedy the situation.
