A very fine West Country elm cupboard dresser from about 1780 featuring an enclosed two shelf, open top rack over a T arrangement of four drawers (and one dummy) set between two cupboards with half-shelves. In all-original condition, signs of old worm etc re-treated as a precaution.
The wide hand sawn backboards in particular are a notable feature.
An absolute joy: last sold in 2002 and comes with that receipt (and a price ticket considerably higher than today’s).
On view in the shop in Dulverton.
