A very nice 18th century French fruitwood settle that has been fully reupholstered in Fine grade hessian which can be used as it is as it does have a good look but it can also be a base for the top cover to be upholstered over. The frame is sturdy and unusual having the turned back legs and the tapered front legs. It has had various repairs over the years as would be expected of a utilitarian item of this age.

The frame has had a historical worm as can be seen in the pictures but is long gone and has had extra treatment as a precaution as all items that go through our hands that have holes gets treated regardless.
