An attractive small sized antique coffer or plank chest dating from circa 1700. Beautifully figured with good colour and patina, the hinged lid lifts to reveal storage and candle box. Of simple 5 plank construction with an unusual attractive lozenge and heart-pierced apron to the bottom. Lock and hinges appear original.

Condition Report:
In original condition with good patina. Plenty of wear and marks commensurate with age. Lock and key work but missing hasp. Top warped with age. Old mends to hinges. A few old worm holes.
