18th Century Carved Oak Dresser with Tree of Life Carvings

This is a superb and unusually large piece of Period Oak Furniture, the top section has central long shelves bordered by smaller shelves and small lockable cupboards
The shelves all have a carved edge and a plate rail and each of the doors of the cupboard have tree of life carved panel. The whole piece is set off with a large carved Swan Neck cornice.

The Base of the dresser has a carved edge at both the top and the bottom, it has 3 drawers with more exquisite carving on the front of them, beneath these the dresser has a pot board base. The bottom of the base is planked, this too has a carved edge and the supporting legs are also finely carved up to their splayed top which is also carved with the tree of life pattern

The dresser has a wonderful mature patina, fine carving and in generally good condition, at some time the top and base have been screwed together but this has been repaired in a very sympathetic and almost unnoticeable way
The dresser is 68” Wide, 19” Deep and 87”High (34” to the Counter top) and comes into 2 for transportation
