A very good English burr walnut chest dating from circa 1740. Of good traditional construction in solid walnut with beautiful burr walnut veneers over an oak and pine carcas. The top is cross banded with feather banding inlay as are the drawer fronts. There is an arrangement of 3 short over 3 long , graduated, drawers giving ample storage capacity. The drawers are fitted with attractive solid brass handles and lock plates. All standing on strong bracket feet. This chest has a great depth of colour and patina and is offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
