Lovely bombe-shaped brass box energetically engraved in punch work and wiggle-work in a series of scrolling patterns. The box sits, somewhat drunkenly on ball and claw feet, and has lion and ring handles on either side.
The top is engraved ‘N. Rayner Coventry 1763’. The box is highly reflective and would gleam enticingly from a shelf or mantelpiece.
Perfect to house bits and bobs or billets doux. It is in excellent condition and very solid.
