A 17th Century Oak Boarded Chest.

From a Kentish collection

Of six plank construction,the front carved with a swirling folky design.

This small chest has been used all its 300 yrs and is now showing signs of retirement but in a good way ,it has character and a nice smile.

It has lost height ,the lid has been braced and the right hand side has been nailed back and lastly a small replacement to the lid and front left hand top corner.

Original wire hinges and lockplate and good even colour.

It has a good country feel and II like the swirly design to the front and the small size is another plus .

14" High
