Here is an example of an unusually large and superb quality set of 12 antique French oak “bulls eye” design provincial dining chairs, circa 1920, originating from northern France. This is an original set (and not matched together from smaller sets of chairs). The set consists of 2 armchairs and 10 side chairs. Constructed of solid oak, they feature a shaped and beaded design to the head of the chair, below, there is an unusual “bulls eye” central splat. The chairs have drop-in seats, which have been newly upholstered in a woven wool & cotton oatmeal fire retardant upholstery. Below, the chairs feature a turned front stretcher, which is connected to turned legs, and connecting “H” stretchers for added strength.
The chairs feature a rich warm oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
The chairs are very comfortable, solid in joint and would look good in either a traditional or contemporary setting.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the kitchen or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home or office and a great investment, as they are an extremely functional. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

The removable drop-in upholstered seats have been freshly upholstered therefore the upholstery is new, clean and in excellent condition. All chairs are in excellent condition and have no breaks to the legs or backs of the chairs. This set of chairs boasts the original polish, which ensures a fantastic depth of colour to the oak. All chairs are solid in joint, do not wobble, are free of woodworm and ready to be used.
