A stunning and iconic Boat Race Bowl by Eric Ravilious, first issued by Wedgwood in 1937. This is number 115 of a limited edition of 200, issued by Wedgwood in 1975 to the exact specifications as the original. The Boat Race design is accepted as Ravilious finest work for Wedgwood and is seldom available for purchase. The bowl features an image to the inside of Piccadilly Circus, and four boat race-related images to the exterior.
12 inches dia and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or pattern loss. A couple of miniscule under glaze dust specks from kiln firing, common to all these bowls and only mentioned for complete accuracy.
Comes with it's original Wedgwood box, leaflet and certificate. The box has a few scuff marks to the edges from storage.
