Victorian 23-Piece Part China Pink Tea Set
This antique tea set looks to date from the nineteenth century. We believe it to be of English origin, although there are no maker's marks or labels. The set is pink and white with gilt decoration and hand-finished roses. Present are:
1x large bowl,
1x sandwich / cake plate,
1x jug,
7x cups,
7x saucers,
6x small plates.
Condition: Overall in fair-good condition with some wear and damage consistent with age. There is some crazing, which is heavy in places, and some rubbing and wear to the decoration. There are some manufacturing imperfections as might be expected. There is some grubbiness and discolouration. Two of the cup handles are cracked. There is some heavy wear to the gilt rims in places.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Cup - 6.5cm high, 7cm diameter
