Turquoise BURMANTOFTS Jardiniere & Stand c.1890
A stunning large BURMANTOFTS FAIENCE ART POTTERY Jardiniere Stand & Matching Planter produced in the Burmantofts Leeds factory between 1882 and 1904.
With a combined height of 990mm, this is a striking example of Burmantofts Art Pottery which has survived in excellent condition.
The planter and stand are decorated with attractive embossed/moulded sunflowers, foliage, and geometric designs. Both pieces are finished with the iconic Burmantofts high gloss FAIENCE glaze in vibrant turquoise colour.
Planter marked on base with "BURMANTOFTS FAIENCE ENGLAND" and design no 1947C. Pedestal marked with the BF monogram, ENGLAND B and design no.1948 D.
Pedestal height ~675mm, Planter height ~315mm, ~365mm max dia.
A wonderful example of Burmantofts Art Pottery from the end of the 19th C. in fantastic antique condition with no apparent chips or damage.
