Early 19th century Staffordshire pottery pearlware figure of a ewe and her lamb on a naturalistic base, set against a floral bocage. Made by the Ralph Salt manufactory, c.1820, with impressed mark to the back.

It measures 16cm (6 1/4") high, 10cm (4") wide and 7cm (2 3/4") deep. Condition is very good there are a few small losses to the left side of the bocage, a small shallow chip to the outside of the base at the back and a larger chip inside the base, also at the back and barely visible outside, with a short associated hairline. Some small areas of enamel paint loss to the base only. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
