Elegant Royal Doulton salt-glaze stoneware ewer c1925. Tube-lined off-white chrysanthemum flowers on an olive-green body. 33cm height, 8.5cm base, 12.5cm at widest diameter. Incised Royal Doulton mark used after 1922. Signed FJ (monogram for Florrie Jones, Senior Assistant who worked at Doulton from before 1902 to 1928). Pattern number 8248.
This ewer is in excellent original condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. Salt-glazing naturally produced a stippled effect on the finished colour. Please see images as these form an important part of the description.

Florrie Jones is listed as working at Doulton as Senior Assistant in 1902 and worked at Royal Doulton until 1928. Her work was well regarded and she completed a number of original designs. Viewing welcomed - please contact us in advance.
