This rare model of a galloping shire is known as the 'Punch Peon'. It is Model No.1134 HN2623 and was designed by one of Royal Doulton's famous horse sculptors, William Chance. It was issued between 1950 and 1960, although this example is date stamped for 1947. It stands 19cm in height and is in excellent condition.
