Rare set of Four Walter Crane tiles - Babys Opera Arts Crafts tiles Walter Crane %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Rare and stunning set of four tiles designed by Walter Crane - illustrator and Artist (1846 - 1915) and are taken from his book "Baby's Opera, a with book of old rhymes published in 1877. Made by Minton's china Works Stoke on Trent. They measure 6inches square with the frames making them 7 inches square.
We have Where are you going my pretty maid. Jack and Jill.
Here we go round the Mulberry Bush and I had a little nut tree.
The colour are stunning and the condition of the tiles very good with the tinniest of nibbles to one. These have been sympathetically framed with tape and can be removed easily as shown. I am listing these in two sets of four. This being the slightly more colourful set.
