Pair of Large Chinese Famille Jaune Vases c.1850. %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Impressive pair of large 19th.c. Qing Dynasty Chinese Famille Jaune lidded vases c.1850. Measuring 29″ to the top of the figure on each lid. Of hexagonal form densely and individually decorated with battle scenes set in a mountainous oriental landscape against a vivid yellow ground. Unfortunately the vases have suffered cracks to lower portion of each in the past, and one has been glued back together. Despite this damage they remain beautiful decorative objects.
Dimensions: width 10″, depth 8″, height 29″.
