A pair of Japanese chargers circa 1910, each centred with red and white chrysanthemums with blue flowers heightened with gilding. They have fan shaped vignettes of the three friends of winter interspersed by watery landscapes against a gilt trellis ground, and panels of shishi in a blossoming garden landscape.

The chargers are 37 cm (14.6") in diameter and have impressed marks verso.
