Pair of Elsmore & Forster Puzzle Jugs
A pair of 19th century Victorian ironstone pottery puzzle jugs.
The jugs are decorated with very colourful Harlequin figures, one is marked Elizabeth Boardman 1863 and the other Richard Boardman 1863.
The jugs have the maker's marks for "Elsmore & Forster, Warranted Ironstone China" printed in black underneath.
Elsmore & Forster worked from Tunstall in Staffordshire between 1853-1871.
The jugs have a unique pouring puzzle which can cause the liquid to come out through a hole in the base.
The jugs are in very good condition. (Circa 1863)
