Pair of Classical-Style Large Lidded Marble Urns

This lovely pair of marble urns look to date from the first half of the twentieth century, but they are older in style. There are no maker's marks but they are of excellent quality and are very happy. They are of squat form and have an attractive simple design with removable lids. They would make lovely interior pieces.
Condition: Overall this pair of urns are in good display condition, but they do have some wear and damage consistent with age and use. There are some natural flaws in the stone, and some further chipping and cracking. The corner of the base of one of the urns has been broken and repaired, and there is some further chipping and minor loss around the corners of the bases.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 34cm high, 29cm diameter (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
